Taylor Dirstein - Owner & RMT

Taylor is the Owner of Knots Registered Massage Therapy. She has a passion for health and wellness and is extremely excited to have seen Knots come to life. Taylor graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011 and has been practicing ever since. Her love for athletics, health and wellness and helping the general public has guided her to the path of Massage Therapy.

She believes in educating clients regarding body awareness and injury prevention through stretching, strengthening and relaxation methods. She is passionate about creating a warm and relaxing space for you to unwind and treat your body to a therapeutic massage, assisting you in opening the door to better health.

Kendall Burgess

Kendall Burgess - RMT & Clinic Manager

Kendall has been practising as a Registered Massage Therapist since early 2014. Her drive to help people and work in health care led her to Massage Therapy. She started on her journey with one goal: to educate and help each client to the best of her ability. After graduating from Medix College she set out and worked for two clinics within the region.

While providing a relaxing and safe environment, she offers a therapeutic touch to those that seek her help. With a very excited attitude she is ready to help assist clients in their journey to better health and wellness, and can do so with a variety of modalities such as Deep Tissue Massage, Swedish Massage, Relaxation Massage, Trigger Point Therapy, and Myofascial Release.

Said to be a very down to earth and reliable individual; she is always ready to listen to her client's needs. In her spare time you can usually find her at the gym, on walks to various places, or relaxing with a good book and a great cup of coffee.

Michelle Kuschmierz

Michelle Kuschmierz - RMT

Since 2015, when Michelle graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, she has striven to provide the very best of massage therapy through assessments, education and self/home care. Michelle has a variety of experience - from general relaxation massage to treating sciatic-like pain, low back pain, muscle tension and injuries. Other than prevention, Michelle focuses on stress relief among corporate clients. Her passion is to engage more people in leading a non-sedentary lifestyle, especially in the corporate world.

Michelle's love for anything that decreases pain and increases relaxation and a worry-free life has brought her to the path of massage therapy. She will be glad to listen to your concerns and treat accordingly within your level of tolerance.

Michelle Ratz-McGuire

Michelle Ratz-McGuire - RMT

Michelle is a massage therapist registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Prior to graduating from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2010, Michelle earned a degree in Social Development Studies from the University of Waterloo, and worked with differently-abled adults and homeless youth.

Michelle has experience treating clients with a variety of conditions such as frozen shoulder, scoliosis, whiplash, muscle spasms, plantar fasciitis, and post-concussion syndrome. She is passionate about helping her clients recover from specific injuries, maintain health through pregnancy, or to just relax! Michelle is comfortable working with people of all ages and developmental abilities. She is passionate about the field of massage therapy, and is committed to updating her knowledge through courses in order to maintain currency in the field.

Michelle lives in Waterloo with her husband and 3 children. She enjoys curling up with a cup of tea and a good book, practicing yoga, gardening and experimenting in the kitchen.

Karas Smith

Karas Smith R.TCMP – Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner & Acupuncturist

Karas has always had a desire to help and heal. She started out as a Kinesiologist after having earned an undergraduate degree at the University of Western Ontario in 2008. After working in the field for a few years she went on to earn a 4 year, Master of Science in Oriental Medicine degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. She brings extensive clinical experience having done internships at the prestigious Chengdu University of TCM in Chengdu, China as well as with the University of California –San Diego Health system at Rady’s Children’s Hospital and the San Diego Cancer Center. She most recently completed her second contract working onboard a cruise ship as an Acupuncturist at Sea.

Karas is board certified in Acupuncture and TCM with the CTCMPAO in Ontario, as well as with the NCCAOM in the USA. Karas is also certified in the therapies of BOS, Reiki and Therapeutic Touch. Her clinical interests include sports medicine, chronic pain and woman’s health, though she is passionate about getting to the underlying root problem of any concern using a gentle and integrative treatment style.

Megan Verbiski

Megan Verbiski - RMT

Megan graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in September 2016. Her interest in health and wellness led her to a career as a Registered Massage Therapist. Megan is experienced in General Swedish Massage and trained in Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy, and Remedial Exercise. She has experience working with overuse injuries, chronic aches and pains, postural imbalances, and stress management. Her passion for helping people is motivation to provide a relaxing and beneficial treatment. She views each client as unique and aims to help them return to everyday life, pain free. In her spare time, Megan enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Samantha Osier

Samantha Osier - RMT

Samantha graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2011. She is regularly taking courses to further her education. Her initial employment after graduation was in a spa environment giving her the ability to perform wonderful relaxation massages combined with her ability to perform therapeutic massage. She utilizes techniques including, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, Swedish massage, passive movements and stretching. She is also certified in Cupping Massage, Accupressure Therapy & Indie Head Massage. She is an active member of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.

Stephanie O'Neill-Beetham

Stephanie O'Neill-Beetham - Athletic Therapist & RMT

Stephanie graduated from the Ontario College of Health and Technology in July 2017 with her massage therapy diploma. In addition she is a Certified Athletic Therapist who graduated from Sheridan College with her Bachelor’s in Applied Health Science (Athletic Therapy).

She has been actively involved in working with the Laurier Golden Hawks Hockey and Football teams and she is the head therapist for the KW Titans Basketball organization. Stephanie is experienced with treating a variety of athletic injuries from simple ankle sprains to more complicated shoulder injuries. She is a life learner and continues to take extra courses to further her treatment skills in regards to Vertigo and Concussions. Her philosophy is to help every individual overcome their injury to allow them to return to an active lifestyle as soon as possible.

Stephanie lives in Kitchener with her husband and her Old English Sheepdog puppy Seamus. She enjoys hanging out with friends, playing board games and sitting down with a good book.

Oliver Dirstein

Oliver Dirstein - Clinic Dog

Oliver is our clinic dog. Although, he's not a certified therapy dog, he sure acts like one. Oliver will always greet you with a warm welcome and with high hopes of a belly rub.
